As a Solar PV Technician, you will be responsible for the installation and maintenance of photovoltaic systems across residential, commercial and agricultural properties. The role includes wiring and fitting a variety of solar-related electrical components, carrying out testing procedures and ensuring every installation meets the required technical and safety standards. This position is ideal for a qualified electrician with strong solar experience, a practical mindset and the ability to deliver high-quality work on-site.
- Installing solar PV systems on residential, commercial and agricultural buildings
- Wiring and installing PV inverters, hybrid inverters, diverters and EV chargers
- Testing electrical components to ensure safe and efficient operation
- Inspecting systems and equipment for faults, damage and safety hazards
- Troubleshooting installation issues and resolving problems efficiently
- Communicating with clients during the installation process when needed
- Completing all assigned tasks within agreed deadlines
- Preparing and submitting required documentation and installation photographs
- Proven experience as an electrician, preferably in solar PV installations
- Minimum 5 years of solar experience required
- Valid Electrical Trade Certification or equivalent qualification
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, wiring methods and safety regulations
- Experience with PV inverters, hybrid inverters, diverters and EV chargers
- Good problem-solving skills and strong attention to detail
- Professional communication skills and a reliable work ethic
- Valid driving licence and willingness to travel across Munster
- Own QC number required
- Advanced / Higher Certificate required
- Safepass Card required
- Working at Heights Certification required
- Manual Handling Certificate required
- Abrasive Wheels Certificate required
- Work authorisation for Ireland required
