Job Description
As an HGV Mechanic, you will work on the employer’s fleet of Scania tractor units and trailers, carrying out servicing, repairs and technical maintenance. This role is ideal for a mechanic who is confident working with heavy commercial vehicles and understands the importance of keeping fleet equipment safe, roadworthy and operational.

Key Responsibilities
- Carry out repairs, servicing and maintenance on Scania tractor units.
- Inspect, maintain and repair HGV trailers to a safe operational standard.
- Diagnose mechanical faults efficiently and complete workshop repairs independently.
- Perform routine technical checks and preventative maintenance on fleet vehicles.
- Help ensure all commercial vehicles remain roadworthy and ready for day-to-day operations.
- Maintain clean, safe and organised working practices in the workshop environment.
Requirements
- Proven experience as an HGV Mechanic or in a similar heavy vehicle repair role.
- Very good practical knowledge of Scania trucks and HGV trailers.
- Ability to diagnose faults and carry out repairs without constant supervision.
- Basic English is required for daily communication.
- Reliable, hands-on and professional attitude to workshop and fleet work.
- Right to work in the United Kingdom or eligibility to take up employment there.
