Job Description
As a Domiciliary Care Assistant, you will provide support to clients in their own homes across Cork and surrounding areas. This is a mobile care role, so you will travel by car from one client to another during your working day.
The position focuses on helping people maintain dignity, independence and comfort in their daily lives. You will support clients with personal care, routine household tasks, companionship and general wellbeing, while delivering a high standard of respectful and professional care.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide personal care and daily living support in clients’ homes.
- Assist with washing, dressing, mobility and other practical needs.
- Prepare light meals and support with basic household duties when required.
- Offer companionship and emotional support to clients.
- Travel by car between clients across Cork and nearby areas.
- Follow care plans and maintain professional standards at all times.
Requirements
- Experience in care work, home care or a similar support role is preferred.
- A caring, patient and dependable approach to working with people.
- Good communication skills and a professional attitude.
- Ability to work independently and manage travel between appointments.
- Driving licence and willingness to drive to clients’ homes are essential.
- Right to work in Ireland or eligibility to take up employment there.
