We are seeking a motivated and reliable Construction General Operative to join our team specializing in retrofit projects across the Munster region. In this role, you will play a crucial part in transforming existing buildings into more energy-efficient and sustainable spaces.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assisting tradespeople with various tasks, such as demolition, site preparation, material handling, and general cleanup.
- Carrying out basic construction tasks including bricklaying, plastering, and carpentry.
- Installing insulation and other energy-saving measures.
- Ensuring work areas are kept clean, tidy, and safe.
- External Wall Insulation (Baumit System).
- Attic Wool Insulation Installation (training provided).
- Fitting of External Doors and Windows (UPVC) including plastering of window reveals.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in construction or a similar field.
- Trade Background (Plasterer, Carpenter).
- Ability to work as part of a team and follow instructions.
- Good physical fitness and stamina.
- Scaffolding certifications are a significant advantage.
Job Salary (Hourly Rate): €15 – €24

Contract Duration: Long-term (over 1 year)
Accommodation: The company owner has 13 holiday homes, one of which is available for rent. It is a 3-bedroom, 3-bathroom house. The first month is free of charge (Note: In Ireland, employees must have a PPS No (Social Security), this process takes approximately 4 weeks. Until they get their PPS NO, the wage will be taxed at 40% (which can be reclaimed from the government), hence we offer the first 4 weeks rent-free. After that, the rent is €1650.00 per month, divided by 3 people (€550/month each).

Travel Cost Reimbursement: Yes, we will refund the cost of the ticket paid by the worker when traveling from Poland to Ireland.
Level of English Required: Basic understanding is necessary. We have a Polish employee in the office who can assist during the initial period, but communication with the site supervisor will be required.
Professional Experience Required: We are ideally looking for one skilled carpenter with experience in finishing carpentry and window installation, along with 1-2 skilled plasterers capable of installing external and internal wall insulation.
